This research examines the role of testing tools in foreign language education, particularly in IELTS preparation. It explores how university students use various online platforms such as Cambridge English, British Council, IELTS Liz, and IELTS Online Tests to enhance their language abilities. The findings indicate that learners choose different tools depending on specific skills, and each platform supports the development of listening, reading, writing, and speaking in different ways. The study also shows that testing tools offer immediate feedback, boost motivation, and encourage independent learning. At the same time, it concludes that testing tools should be used together with traditional teaching methods to achieve more complete language development.
